About Priime
A small studio with a single obsession: photographs that feel.
Priime began with a simple frustration. The photo editing tools available to most people were either too thin to do real work or so dense with sliders that craft drowned in complexity. We wanted something else — a tool that felt like a thoughtful collaborator rather than a control panel.
Built with photographers, not just for them.
Every style in Priime is hand-crafted by a working photographer. Not a tweaked LUT or a stock filter — a complete, opinionated look authored from scratch by someone whose photographs you'd recognize. We sit with each contributor for weeks, iterating on tone, contrast, and color until the style holds up across every kind of light.
One philosophy, four apps.
Priime for iPhone is the quickest way to take a photograph from raw to finished — on the train, between shoots, on the way home. Priime RAW for iPad handles full RAW workflows on a tablet that finally has the screen to deserve them. Priime for Mac brings the same curation to the desktop. And our Lightroom Presets meet you wherever you already work.
What we care about.
Speed without rushing. Curation over choice paralysis. Color that respects the original light. Files that travel well. Documentation a photographer can actually read. Privacy that doesn't need to be negotiated. We're slow on purpose — we'd rather ship a smaller tool that's true to itself than a sprawling one that loses its center.
Where we're headed.
More collaborations. Deeper RAW pipelines. Better tools for working with archives. A culture of writing — through the Journal — about what photography means in an era when everyone has a camera in their pocket but very few are taught to look.
If any of that resonates, we'd love to hear from you. — The Priime team
