A closer look

Native, fast, and deliberately keyboard-first.

Priime for Mac is the desktop home for serious photo work. Built from the ground up for Apple Silicon, it launches instantly, scrolls a thousand images without stutter, and runs cool enough to forget it's open. We wrote it the way Mac apps used to be written — single binary, no Electron, no background daemons, no telemetry phoning home.

Two ways to work.

Some photographers live in folders on disk. Some prefer a managed library that handles backup and metadata. Priime supports both, and the choice is yours per-shoot. Point Priime at a folder and edit in place — your hierarchy stays untouched. Or import into a Priime library and let it manage thumbnails, previews, and versioning. Mix the two without penalty.

Built for keyboards.

Every action has a shortcut. Cull a wedding with the arrow keys and number row, switch to develop with a single key, tab through panels, hit shift-D to copy settings to the next image, and shift-V to paste them across a selection. The toolbar exists for people who want it. Power users won't touch it.

Color you can trust.

The render pipeline is fully color-managed end-to-end. Edits happen in scene-linear, wide-gamut space. Output respects the destination — Display P3 for AirDrop and the web, sRGB for older delivery targets, ProPhoto or Adobe RGB for print houses. The histogram tells the truth. The preview matches the final.

Automation that earns its keep.

Batch export to multiple sizes and formats in a single pass. Drive Priime from AppleScript, Shortcuts, or the command line. Round-trip to Photoshop or Affinity Photo for the rare layered edit. Watch folders import automatically. The repetitive parts of photography should be repetitive for the computer, not for you.

Who it's for.

Professional photographers, serious hobbyists, and anyone who tried to like a sluggish industry-standard editor and gave up.
